Iris has a passion for Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution. She has advised various companies involved in the areas of labour law, real estate & property acquisition, shareholder disputes, commercial transactions, and corporate governance among others.
Iris is the firm’s go-to advocate in family law and has represented several high-profile personalities in large divorce settlements running into millions of United States Dollars. She has represented clients in international parental abduction matters between Ghana and the USA. She has also represented clients in several local and international adoptions. She has as well as been involved in complex probate lawsuits.
She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 2014 with a Master of Laws in Commercial Law. In this field, she has helped companies restructure their debts in order to stay afloat and has advised a large local bank in a share subscription issue. She has also been involved in shareholder litigations and corporate governance law suits.
She serves as company secretary for a few boards including Garden City Mall Ltd. In 2023, she obtained a certificate of training as Arbitration Counsel organised by the SOAS University of London in conjunction with the Ghana Arbitration Centre.
Iris is also directly involved in the day-to-day management of the law firm and all its client portfolios. She is also involved in the business development of the firm.
Iris is enthusiastic about women’s rights issues and is an advocate for victims of domestic violence. She enjoys nature; flowers, gardening and art.
